Whio

This carving is modelled on the Whio, a New Zealand Blue duck that lives in fast running rivers. Loosely of course, as you can tell from the raincoat, umbrella and gumboots. The Whio is carved from reclaimed NZ totara, with a walnut and koa umbrella and a rosewood base.
