Ruru

This carving is modelled after a Ruru/Morepork, a NZ spotted Owl, which most definitely carry tiny wooden umbrellas in real life. The Ruru is carved from NZ rewarewa, the umbrella is carved from from rosewood and NZ kauri, and the piece is mounted on a driftwood base.
